Very satisfied with the clinic and all the employees. I took one of our puppies in last Saturday and although they were not taking any more patients that morning, I was not turned away. Keep up the great work

VeterinarianDr. Glen Melton knew he wanted to become a veterinarian at a very young age interacting with many different species of animals from childhood on. He became a veterinarian in 1977, after earning his DVM from LSU School of Veterinary Medicine as a member of the very first graduating class. Now, he loves interacting with the other doctors, staff members, and especially developing relationships with clients as he delivers animal healthcare. He also loves seeing the strength of the human/animal bond every day and playing a role in that bond. After seeing nearly half a million cases throughout his 30+ years as a veterinarian, not a day goes by that he doesn’t learn something new or see something exciting.
Jean Aultman, DVM
VeterinarianDr. Jean T. Aultman earned her degree from LSU School of Veterinary Medicine before joining the Melton Veterinary Hospital team. A few of her favorite aspects of being a veterinarian are working with the staff, meeting new people and their pets and cat patients. She loves that no two days are the same and the rewarding feeling of helping to restore the health of pets, enabling them to spend more time with their owners.
Patrick Murray, DVM
VeterinarianDr. Patrick Murray has been with Melton Veterinary Hospital since 2009, known not only for his gentle care with animals, but for his singing skills which he shares with all who have ears to hear. He earned his DVM from LSU School of Veterinary Medicine and is active in new research of the veterinary industry. With his many years in the veterinary field, he welcomes the joy that animals bring and the limitless possibilities that he and other veterinarians have. He also loves the staff and the diverse things that every Melton Veterinary Hospital team member sees and does.
Natalie Mayer, DVM
VeterinarianAfter working in the equine industry in Lexington, KY, Dr. Natalie Mayer decided to pursue a career in veterinary medicine. She earned her DVM from Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2015 and later joined the Melton Veterinary Hospital team. She loves meeting new clients and learning something new every day as she cares for her patients. Dr. Mayer shares her home with a cat named Tiger and a dog named Maggie. In her free time, she enjoys staying active by cycling, playing tennis and running.
Richard Baessler, DVM
VeterinarianDr. Richard Baessler was very excited to join the team at Melton Veterinary Hospital. He knew that he wanted to be a veterinarian after working for several years under Dr. Vice and Dr. McNeal at their exclusive equine veterinary practice in Gluckstadt, MS. It is there that he became interested in equine sports medicine, and after graduating from College of Veterinary Medicine at Mississippi State University, he decided that he wanted work with multiple species of small and large animals. In his spare time, he enjoys to fish and spend time outdoors.
